Ilja Wladimirowitsch Korobow ( Russian Илья Владимирович Коробов ; * July 27, 1993 ) is a Russian natural track tobogganist . He starts in a two-seater and took part in World Cup races and a World Championship for the first time in the 2010/2011 season .

Career

Ilya Korobow had his first international assignment at the Junior European Championships 2009 in Longiarü , where he achieved fifth place in the doubles with Stanislaw Kowschik . After not taking part in any international competitions the next winter, Korobow has been at the start with Pawel Silin in the doubles in the World Cup since the 2010/2011 season . Silin had already taken part in six World Cup races with Iwan Rodin in the past two years . Ilja Korobow and Pawel Silin competed in two World Cup races in Gsies and Kindberg in the 2010/2011 season , but only finished 13th and last in Gsies. They then took part in the 2011 World Championships in Umhausen , where they finished second to last, in tenth place, and in the 2011 European Junior Championships in Laas , where they took fourth place out of seven doubles. In the 2011/2012 season Korobow did not take part in any international competitions.
