Ilka Fürstin von Wrede (born March 30, 1838 in Tutzing , † February 21, 1913 in Pähl ) was a German noblewoman .

Live and act

Anna Maria Juliane Helene "Ilka" von Wrede came from the primeval noble family of those von Vieregg . In 1856 the Countess Vieregg married Carl Ferdinand, III. Prince of Wrede . The marriage had six children. Especially during the war of 1870/71 , the princess was committed to the wounded soldiers. For this she received several Bavarian and Prussian awards. Count Vieregg named a 726 m high elevation on the west bank of Lake Starnberg near Tutzing after his daughter Ilka. Before that, the Ilkahöhe was called the Parzenbichl .

Her granddaughter Marie Ilka von Wrede (born September 14, 1890 in Ellingen , † June 28, 1974 in Pähl) was a midwife and ran a maternity home in the Lower Castle in Pähl.
