Ilsa Paulson

Ilsa Paulson (born November 8, 1988 ) is an American marathon runner .

After graduating from Sherwood High School , she enrolled as an athletic scholar at Northern Arizona University . However, since she was unable to cope with the stress of the double burden of study and training, she decided six months later, after asking God for advice in prayer, to leave university and become a professional runner.

In 2008 she finished ninth in the New York City Half Marathon and came 15th in the New York City Marathon .

In 2009 she was the overall winner of the Twin Cities Marathon US champion. In 2010 she won the Country Music Marathon .

Ilsa Paulson lives in Flagstaff and is trained by Jack Daniels.
