Ilse Unold

Ilse Unold (born August 20, 1942 in Horb am Neckar ; † September 6, 2016 ) was a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg .

Life and work

Ilse Unold attended elementary school and high school in Rottenburg am Neckar . She changed grammar school once and then visited it in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , where she also passed her Abitur. This was followed by medical studies in Heidelberg , Tübingen and at the Mannheim Clinic of the University of Heidelberg . In 1968 she passed her state examination and doctorate . Two years later she received her license to practice medicine and worked as an assistant doctor in Stuttgart from 1971 to 1973 .

Since 1974 she has worked as a freelance medical journalist. At first she worked as a research assistant in the medical editorial department of Bayer AG and later she took over the management of the editorial department of the magazine Medizinische Welt .

In addition to her partisan work, she was involved as an assessor on the board of the Förderverein Stuttgarter Jugend e. V. and as a member of “MuK” We build a house - help for mothers and children e. V.

politics

Ilse Unold had been a member of the parliamentary group in the Stuttgart municipal council for her party since 1994, where she had been the social policy spokesperson since 1996. From 1997 onwards, Ilse Unold was district chairman in Stuttgart and an assessor in the district and state board of the CDU within the senior citizens' union . From October 1, 2008 to April 2011, Ilse Unold held a mandate in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in which she replaced the resigned MP Michael Föll . In the state parliament she represented her parliamentary group as a member of the finance committee .

Family and private

Ilse Unold was a Protestant. She had been married since 1971 and had two children.
