action

Anna, a young woman from Berlin, becomes pregnant unintentionally and wants to have an abortion because she fears for a job as an au pair girl. Shortly before the procedure, however, she decided to have the baby and fled the hospital to a hotel. Once there, Anna collapses passed out. A wealthy couple from California - the man, Derek Mitchelson, is a doctor - takes care of her and offers her an au pair position. Anna gratefully accepts and flies to America with her child to look after the couple's expected offspring.

It turns out, however, that Carla Mitchelson is only faking pregnancy so as not to appear as a failure in front of her mother. Derek Mitchelson lures Anna to Mexico, where members of a gang - hired by the doctor - drag her out of the car; they tie up the girl and expose her to poisonous snakes. But Anna can successfully defend herself against her tormentors and flees. She becomes friends with a young Mexican, Eddie Sanchez, a former gang member; he helps her return to America.

When Anna returns to the house of the host parents, she has no inkling of the plot against her. By chance she sees Carla Mitchelson naked and immediately notices that the pregnancy was only faked. Derek Mitchelson and his wife tie up the girl and kidnap her and her baby on their yacht. But Anna can break free and overwhelm the doctor and his wife with Eddie's help.

Reviews

“Despite the over-construction of the story, the thriller manages to create a coherent atmosphere and stand out from the crowd. The convincing leading actress also contributes to this. "
