Imanol Rojo (born November 30, 1990 in Tolosa ) is a Spanish cross-country skier .

Career

Since 2006, Rojo has mainly participated in the Alpine Cup. His best placement to date was achieved in December 2015 in Prémanon with tenth place over 15 km freestyle. He ran his first World Cup race in November 2012 in Gällivare , which he finished with 95th place over 15 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 81st in the 15 km freestyle and 66th place in the 30 km skiathlon. His best result at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 33rd place in the 50 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 2015 , he achieved 64th place in the 15 km freestyle and 53rd place in the skiathlon. At the 2016 European Ski Marathon Championships at the Marxa Beret , he won the overall gold medal, in the H21 class and in the ALPINO UZTURRE team. In February 2017, at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti , he came 74th in sprint and 53rd in skiathlon. The following month he was in Beret Spanish champion over 10km freestyle. His best results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 35th place in the 50 km mass start race and 19th place together with Martí Vigo del Arco in the team sprint. In March 2018 he became Spanish champion over 15 km freestyle in Candanchú and in 2019 over 15 km freestyle and 10 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , he finished 48th place over 15 km classic, 40th place in the 50 km mass start race and 39th place in the skiathlon . In December 2019 he took his first World Cup points in Lillehammer with 30th place in the skiathlon and in Davos with 27th place over 15 km freestyle.
