The Imberger Horn is a 1655 m high mountain located in the Allgäu Alps south of Bad Hindelang . On the northern flank of the mountain there is a gondola lift, the Hornbahn , which leads up to an altitude of 1314 m .
Ascent
From the mountain station it is another 340 meters to the summit. On the way there is a lookout point, the Burgschrofen. Here the hiker has a good view of Bad Hindelang, with Vorderhindelang and Oberjoch , as well as of Sonthofen and the Alps around Oberstdorf . The way to the summit from Burgschrofen requires surefootedness . Some places lead over bare rock, at these points the path is secured with ropes. Shortly before the summit, this path splits; the path on the right is shorter, but also steeper. On the left, the path leads over a serpentine a little flatter to the highest point of the Imberger Horn.
Alternative routes up the mountain can be undertaken from Liebenstein and Imberg. The paths are in good condition and easy to walk on even on these routes.
Bike park
From the mountain station over the north side of the mountain there is a bike park with several downhill options.
