The Roman Catholic Church of Immaculée-Conception in Ambleville , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 19th century. Parts of the furnishings were protected as Monument historique in 1908 and 1911 .

history

The parish in Ambleville was created as early as 1161. The parish church was consecrated to the brothers Donatius and Rogatius, both of whom were canonized . After the church had become dilapidated , a new building was erected in 1861, which was attached directly to Ambleville Castle . The new church was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of Mary .

The neo-Romanesque church has a bell tower with high sound arcades above the portal .

Furnishing

A statue of the Madonna and Child from the 16th century (Monument historique since 1911) and a painted Madonna and Child from the 17th century (Monument historique since 1908) are noteworthy. The painting of the Entombment of Christ by the painter José Ribera (1591-1652) was classified in 1908 as a Monument historique.
