Immanuel Israel Hartmann , from 1838 by Hartmann , (born January 5, 1772 in Ludwigsburg , † September 26, 1849 in Reutlingen ) was a German administrative lawyer in the service of the Duchy or Kingdom of Württemberg .

Life

Hartmann was born in Ludwigsburg in 1772 as the son of the teacher Israel Hartmann, who has worked at the orphanage there since 1755 , and his wife Agnes Rosina, nee. Burk from Neuffen , born. From 1786 he attended the monastery school in Denkendorf and studied law at the Hohen Karlsschule in Stuttgart from 1789 to 1794 . A scholarship from Duke Peter Biron of Courland enabled him to study. In 1795 Hartmann passed the law firm exam. Shortly afterwards he got a job as a government secretary in Stuttgart , in 1802 with the Higher Regional Government Commission for the newly acquired areas. In 1803 he became state secretary in Ellwangen , in 1806 in Stuttgart, in 1806 in Schwäbisch Gmünd , in 1809 in Stockach , and in 1810 in Ellwangen . In 1811 he was awarded the title of Councilor.

After differences with King Friedrich I - he had shot a suspected rabies hunting dog of the king - Hartmann was removed from office and sentenced to a fortress sentence. Only after Wilhelm I ascended the throne in 1816 was he fully rehabilitated. As early as 1815, Hartmann had received a position as senior bailiff in Rottweil . In 1817 he became a councilor in the government of the Black Forest district in Reutlingen . In 1841 he retired and was also made an honorary member of the College of the Government of the Black Forest District.
