history

Alemannic row graves were dug in Immenhausen in the early Middle Ages. In the high Middle Ages the place belonged to the Duchy of Swabia . The first documented mentions date from the late 11th century. In the 14th century, citizens of the imperial city of Reutlingen ruled the place. Since the middle of the 15th century the place was under the rule of the monastery Bebenhausen , whereby Württemberg held the high jurisdiction . Duke Ulrich pushed through the Reformation in Württemberg in 1534, so that the Bebenhausen monastery became a Protestant monastery office, to which Immenhausen was still subordinate until 1807. After the establishment of the Kingdom of Württemberg , Immenhausen came to the Oberamt Tübingen . During the administrative reform in Württemberg during the Nazi era , Immenhausen was added to the extended Tübingen district in 1938 . After the Second World War, the place fell into the French occupation zone and thus came to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern , which in 1952 became the administrative district of Südwürttemberg-Hohenzollern in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The municipality of Immenhausen, which was independent until 1975, became part of the municipality of Kusterdingen as part of the municipality reform.
