Always on the little ones ( Smorgasbord ) is an American comedy film directed by Jerry Lewis from 1983.

action

Warren Nefron is a real bad luck bird. He is pursued by bad luck and makes every conceivable faux pas. Out of sheer desperation, he tries several times to transport himself to the afterlife, but it always goes wrong. He then went to psychiatric treatment.

There he tells Dr. Jonas Pletchick about his youth, his work and his family, where clumsiness seems to be at home. The psychiatrist refers him to Dr. Grass Nova Perks, a London capacity in the field. Warren booked the flight with a low-cost airline whose aircraft turned out to be a junk pile. After an explosion, he has to parachute himself over a wintry wasteland, where he meets a hermit who presents himself as Dr. Perks to be recognized. There is no treatment, however, because Warren triggers an avalanche that takes them both to the hospital.

After countless hours of therapy, Dr. Pletchick to use the method of hypnosis. The project succeeds. As soon as the word Smorgasbord is mentioned, Warren becomes a successful person. Meanwhile, Dr. Pletchick gets into traffic chaos and is horrified to find that now he's the booby.

For lead actor Jerry Lewis it was the twelfth and last directing work for the big screen and after Too hot bathed , The office idiot , The crazy professor , The Heulboje , The family jewel and A frogman on a fishing rod, the seventh and final collaboration with screenwriter Bill Richmond .

The film was released in the German cinemas in 1983. In this dubbed version, which is still in use today, Jerry Lewis received the voice of Horst Gentzen .
