Ina Strelow

Ina Strelow (born November 9, 1958 in Berlin ) is a German writer .

Life

Ina Strelow began studying journalism in 1981 , which she dropped out after a short time. She completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller . She then worked as a publishing editor and spokesperson for DEFA and for radio and television in the GDR . From 1990 to 1993 she studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . Afterwards she worked again in the publishing sector as well as assistant director and dramaturge . Since 1991 she has published her own texts in literary magazines , especially in the magazine Herzattacke , and as bibliophile artist books .

Ina Strelow is the author of short stories , plays and radio plays . She writes features for the radio, among others. a. I do not forgive, I do not forget. Night talks with Louise Bourgeois , who was nominated for the Juliane Bartel Prize 2012. For her work she received a grant from the Kulturfonds der Neuen Bundesländer foundation in 1992 and 2003 and a residency grant from the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf in 1999 . In 2006 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt , received a scholarship at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop in 2011 and 2016 and was awarded the scholarship of the female authors' association.
