Inbate (also Imbate ) is an Indonesian Desa ("village") in the district ( Kecamatan ) Bikomi Nilulat (administrative region of North Central Timor , East Nusa Tenggara Province ) on the island of Timor .
geography
Inbate is in the northeast of Bikomi Nilulat. West lies the East Timorese enclave of Oe-Cusse Ambeno with its Sucos Abani , Usitaqueno and Bobometo .
There is a health station ( puskesmas ) in Inbate . The local Protestant church was consecrated to Saint Paul on October 26, 2014. It has been built since March 2012. The Protestant community has 13 families.

history
Soldiers of the armed forces of Indonesia and 200 pro-Indonesian militiamen of the Sakunar ( Scorpio ) murdered 17 people during Operation Donner between September 7 and 9, 1999 in the East Timorese villages of Tumin , Quiubiselo , Nonquican (all Suco Bobometo ) and Nibin ( Usitaqueno ) with machetes and firearms. Houses were burned down and the survivors were deported to the Indonesian side of the border. When they arrived in Inbate, 55 young men were separated, handcuffed and beaten by soldiers, police and militiamen. On the morning of September 10th they were herded on foot into the East Timorese Passabe and shot and stabbed to death there. Eight men escaped.
