The Earl of Erroll sold the property to Thomas Blair of Balthayock Castle in 1644 . By inheritance, the property was split into several parts, which gradually fell to David Anderson . His son John eventually acquired the missing land in 1785, with the exception of Priorlands , which belonged to Lord Gray .

John Anderson had Inchyra House built in the 1800s. After his death in 1814, his son David Inchyra inherited House and sold the property to farmer Robert Cristall in 1837 . James Watson acquired Inchyra, exclusive of the estate, in 1873. After Harold de Pass bought the property in 1941, it became the property of Frederick Millars , later Baron Inchyra , in 1955 , whose descendants still hold it today.
