Ines Merry

Ines Fröhlich (born February 24, 1964 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German political official ( SPD ). Since December 20, 2019, she has been State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport .

Life

After graduating from the polytechnic high school, Fröhlich completed a skilled worker training as a cook and subsequently worked for the Interhotel chain until 1986 . After a maternity leave she acquired in 1988 on the second chance the Abitur at the Volkshochschule Berlin before she was a Versorgungsinspektorin the City Council for Trade and Supply. In 1990 she worked for the SPD parliamentary group in the People's Chamber , and in 1991 she moved to the SPD parliamentary group where she worked until 1996. During this time, she completed a part-time distance learning course at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she completed in 1995 with a degree in business administration.

In 1996 she took over the management of the office of Minister Jürgen Heyer in the Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Transport of the State of Saxony-Anhalt . In 1999 she was part of a reshuffle of the Cabinet Hoeppner II to the Secretary of State appointed the same place. After retiring from this position (2002), Fröhlich worked in management consultancy and took over the management of the “Public Business” specialization at Randstad as a manager in the Eastern business region. She held this function until she was appointed State Secretary in the course of the formation of the Kretschmer II cabinet .

On December 20, 2019, Fröhlich was appointed State Secretary by the Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport and Second Deputy Prime Minister Martin Dulig . She thus succeeded Stefan Brangs , Hartmut Mangold remained head of the ministry .
