Inga Iwasiów (2010)

Inga Małgorzata Iwasiów, née Inga Ciepła (born June 6, 1963 in Stettin ), is a Polish literary historian , literary critic , prose writer and poet .

Life

Iwasiów attended high school in Szczecin from 1978 and graduated from high school there in 1982. She then studied Polish Studies at the Pedagogical University in Szczecin. She made her debut as a literary critic with the review Wszystko zgodnie z prawem , which was published in 1986 in the monthly Nowe Książki . In the same year she obtained her master's degree and in 1987 she was employed as a research assistant at the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Szczecin. There she received her doctorate in 1994 with the thesis Świat kresow w prozie Włodzimierza Odojewskiego and was employed as a research assistant . She also published reviews and worked with Polskie Radio Szczecin and TVP Szczecin from 1995 to 1998 . From 1999 to 2012 she worked as editor-in-chief of the magazine Pogranicza . From 1999 to 2005 she also lectured in Gender Studies at the University of Warsaw . She completed her habilitation in 2000 with the work Opowieść i milczeni. O prozie Leopolda Tyrmanda at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and worked as a professor at the University of Szczecin, where she headed the Chair of 20th Century Polish Literature. Since 2008 she has lectured in the field of gender studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences . From 2009 to 2012 she headed the Institute for Polish Studies and Cultural Studies at the University of Szczecin. From 2011 to 2013 she was a jury member for the Nike Literature Prize . Since 2013 she has been the editor-in-chief of the Szczecin semi-annual publication Autobiografia with Jerzy Madejski . Literatura, Kultura, Media . She has been a member of the jury for the Poznan Literature Prize since 2015 .

She lives in Szczecin.
