Inge Ehlers (politician)

Inge Ehlers (born December 9, 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German CDU politician.

Ehlers graduated from commercial college. She learned to be a picture editor and is no longer working. She has been married to former member of the Bundestag Karl-Heinz Ehlers since 1970 and has one son.

In addition to her parliamentary and professional activities, she is a founding member and board member of the Friends of the Harburg Theater .

politics

Inge Ehlers has been with the CDU since 1978, from 1978 to 1982 on the Süderelbe local committee . From 1982 to 2004 Ehlers was a member of the Harburg district assembly , there from 1993 to 1998 deputy parliamentary group leader of the CDU. From 1993 to 2001 she chaired the Committee on Culture , School and Sport in the Assembly . From 2001 to 2004 she was then deputy chairwoman of the district assembly.

From 2004 to 2008 she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There she worked in the culture committee and sports committee as well as in the parliamentary committee of inquiry (PUA) information transfer. She was the specialist spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group for culture ( private theater ), and since 2004 she has also been the deputy district chairwoman of the CDU Harburg . Member of the deputation of the tax authorities since leaving the citizenry .
