Inglorious is an English hard rock - band from London . The band is signed to Frontiers Records and has released three studio albums to date.
history
The band was formed in February 2014 by singer Nathan James, guitarist Wil Taylor, bassist Colin Parkinson and drummer Phil Beaver. James previously sang with the Trans Siberian Orchestra and for guitarist Uli Jon Roth . In 2012 he took part in the TV casting show Superstar , where he finished fifth. Colin Parkinson and Phil Beaver have played together in different bands for many years. The search for a second guitarist initially proved difficult. A Swedish friend of Nathan James then suggested Andreas Eriksson, who previously played in the band Crazy Lixx under the pseudonym Andy Zäta . A video of their cover version of the Deep Purple song Burn uploaded via the YouTube platform brought the band a contract with Frontiers Records.
Inglorious then began working on their debut album. After meeting with various producers , the musicians decided to produce the album themselves. The band rented a house in Buckinghamshire and recorded the album live. The self-titled album Inglorious was released on February 19, 2016 and climbed to number 45 in the British and number 91 in the Swiss album charts. The band played at the download festival . On May 12, 2017, the second album Inglorious II , produced by Kevin Shirley , followed , which reached number 22 in the British, number 53 in the Swiss and number 93 in the German album charts. After the album was completed, Wil Taylor left the band and was replaced by Drew Love. Inglorious played at the festivals Hellfest , Copenhell and the Graspop Metal Meeting .
In 2018 the band played at the Sweden Rock Festival , before guitarists Andreas Eriksson and Drew Love and bassist Colin Parkinson left the band in October of that year. He was succeeded by guitarists Danny Dela Cruz and Dan Stevens, while Brazilian Vinnie Colla took over bass. On January 25, 2019, the third studio album Ride to Nowhere was released , which was also produced by Kevin Shirley. Ride to Nowhere reached number 42 on the Swiss and number 57 on the British album charts.
style
Allmusic's James Christopher Monger described the band as a mix of classic rock and blues , citing inspirations like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin , Whitesnake , Bad Company , Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones . Singer Nathan James names David Coverdale , Paul Rodgers and Freddie Mercury, and Glenn Hughes as his role models and influences.
