Ingo Resch (born December 24, 1939 in Graefelfing ; † April 23, 2020 there ) was a German business economist , publisher , school founder and author .

Live and act

Ingo Resch studied business administration and economics . In 1966 he received his doctorate from the University of World Trade in Vienna with his dissertation on the subject of the economic problem of order from the standpoint of market price formation, illustrated using the example of the electricity industry .

In 1973 he took over the Resch-Verlag, founded by his father in 1955, for specialist magazines in the field of energy and industrial engineering. In 1991 he founded a special publisher for occupational safety and in 1993 expanded the range of publications to include the book series “Politics, Law, Economy and Society” as an edition initially started with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He sold the previous publisher with specialist titles such as Automation to Coburg Media Mail Verlag , a subsidiary of WEKA Holding . From 1995 onwards, non-fiction books on history and religion from the perspective of a Christian view of the world and man were published. Together with his wife Solvey, he wrote the work “Biblical History in Pictures and Rhymes” in 2014 after he was asked to convey biblical stories to children and young people in rhyme form. The events of the Old and New Testaments described in the book were illustrated with images from around 900 years of art history. The representations from the St. Georg Church in Mansfeld-Lutherstadt are particularly impressive .

In 1989, Resch was co-founder and honorary board member of a Protestant school association consisting of elementary, middle and secondary schools as well as grammar school in Munich, the Lukas Schools , which are among the largest Christian schools in Bavaria.

In search of the origins of the world and life in scientific literature, he found the Christian faith at the age of 40 . From the mid-1980s, the entrepreneur belonged to the International Association of Christian Businesspeople (IVCG) in Munich, for which he was a speaker throughout Germany. He was a long-time speaker on gospel radio . He could also be heard talking about books on the Christian radio station in Munich .

He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Forest Church in Planegg- Stockdorf , married to Sieglinde Strauch and the father of two grown daughters.
