Ingrid Freimuth

Ingrid Freimuth (* 1946 in Melsungen ) is a German educator and author .

Career

Ingrid Freimuth completed her teaching degree ( secondary level I ) at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1966 to 1970 and graduated with a diploma in education . She then worked at what is now the Anne Frank School in Raunheim and, at the same time, as a trainer at a study seminar. Six years after completing her degree, she emigrated to a Greek island for a while. After her return, she worked as a teacher from 1983 to 1998 ( secondary and secondary schools in Frankfurt) as well as in teacher training. From 1999 to 2017 she worked first as a student supporter, then as a VHS teacher for adults.

In spring 2018 she published the book Teachers over the limit: Why integration fails in Europa Verlag . It was also received by national media in the public press such as Focus and Die Welt as well as regional daily newspapers such as the Upper Hessian Press . The book also led to various invitations to talk shows such as Maybrit Illner and Markus Lanz .
