International music and media center

The International Music and Media Center (Internationales Musik + Medienzentrum IMZ; English: International Music + Media Center ) is an international non-profit organization that was founded in 1961 by Wilfried Scheib under the auspices of UNESCO . The IMZ acts as a global network for actors from the audiovisual sector with a focus on classical music , world music , jazz and contemporary music as well as ballet and contemporary dance .

Members

Its more than 150 members worldwide consist of public and private television and radio companies, performing arts companies and event houses, film producers and distributors, record and DVD labels, cinema and new media experts, i.e. representatives of the creation and distribution of music and performing arts Productions in the media. The IMZ organizes u. a. B2B network events and trade fairs for IMZ members as well as external participants such as B. Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin, Avant Première Screenings, Golden Prague Premières and pitching sessions in cooperation with the EBU or as part of the Golden Prague Festival, as well as dancescreen, one of the largest dance film festivals and competitions that, like all IMZ- Activity producers (established production companies as well as aspiring filmmakers) networked with the international culture TV industry. The aim of the IMZ activities and services is to promote and promote music and dance in and through audiovisual media . Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin

The Avant Première Music + Media Market Berlin is an annual multi-day co-production market to promote the international performing arts film business. Planned and carried out by the IMZ International Music and Media Center, 350 international experts from the fields of film , television , performing arts, music , pop and classical music , production and sales , as well as opera and concert halls, communicators and journalists will meet . A total of over 500 current performing art films for TV and cinema will be presented during this event.
