action

The professional assassin Viktor has with its Code of Conduct  - anyone trust. Be emotionless. Never lose - brought to the top. The film is a flashback, an interview in which Viktor explains to a filmmaker how he became a ruthless killer.

The filmmaker, who has been unsuccessful for several years, is hoping for his comeback in which he will conduct a video interview with a notorious hitman, also known as Hitman.

The story begins with his hard childhood in a poor neighborhood on the outskirts of Bucharest . In order to avoid his fate, he takes a job with the Romanian mafia. When he returns home, he witnesses his father mistreating his mother. Because he owes the mafia money, his father is killed shortly afterwards. Viktor's mentor at the Mafia, Sergei, then teaches him the craft of a contract killer .

When Viktor grew up, Viktor and Sergei were involved in a drug deal. Franco, the son of the Mafia boss Traffikant, wants to kill the dealer and his followers at the handover. However, it turns out that the man killed is the son of Mafia boss Vadim. When Viktor returns to his apartment, he is surprised by Sergei. Viktor overpowers him and confronts him. It turns out that Sergei was hired by Traffikant to kill Viktor. Otherwise he will be killed himself. After a short discussion, Viktor shoots his old friend. So that he can now shake off his pursuers, Viktor decides to go into hiding. He fakes his death and flees to London.

In London, Viktor joins the London Mafia. After killing a police investigator who refused to be bribed , the mafia boss invited him to a party with two prostitutes. On the way, they are ambushed as they were betrayed by the boss' right hand. Viktor kills the traitor and is supposed to take his place, but he refuses. In one last assignment, Viktor is supposed to kill a woman named Bethesda. When he visits her, she is beaten and raped by some men shortly afterwards. Viktor saves them and they fall in love.

Six months later, they discover that Bethesda is pregnant. Viktor would like to start a new life with her, but he is being persecuted by the Romanian mafia, who have learned that he is still alive. When Viktor returns to Bucharest, he meets with Traffikant to find out how they found him. He learns that Alexei, an old friend of Viktor, is now working at Interpol and is passing information to traffikant. Viktor takes care of the traffikant and then seeks out Alexei. He forces him to bury the video that documents his survival and to keep silent.

The interview is nearing its end and Bethesda joins it. She confronts him and reveals herself as the child that the interviewer abused when it was 10 years old. After this opening he is shot by Viktor. When Viktor turns to Bethesda, he is now shot by her. Viktor had killed Bethesda's parents at the beginning of his bloody career. In revenge, Bethesda betrayed Viktor to Traffikant, established the relationship with him and staged the interview with the unsuspecting participants.

reception

The film website kino.de described the film as a “low-budget thriller that strains credibility”, but is recommended for “B-movie fans”. The film magazine Cinema said the film was only “a tad better than B-dozen products”, “staged without many highlights and with a fairly transparent finale”. The film service judged, however, that the film was a "high-gloss action thriller that packs its lack of ideas in terms of content formally quite attractive".
