Invasion from Inside the Earth is a 1975 science fiction film produced by Shaw Brothers Studios in Hong Kong . It was made as the first Chinese superhero film under the influence of successful Japanese films such as Ultraman . In the English-speaking world, the film was sold as The Super Inframan , or later as Infra-Man .
Directed by Hua Shan , the screenplay by Ni Kuang , producer was Runme Shaw . Tadashi Nishimoto (as Lan Shan Ho) was responsible for the camera - help was also received from Japan with the music, including pieces from Ultra Seven (1967) and Mirrorman (1971), both by Toru Fuyuki . Ekisu Productions , known for her work on many contemporary Tōei superhero productions, provided the costumes of monsters and the superhero.
Danny Lee Sau-Yin was hired as a superhero . In a supporting role, Bruce Le, a well-known Bruce Lee imitator, appears.
In Germany, the film was shown in cinemas from April 1, 1976.

In 2015, the demon princess Demona (Original: 冰河 魔 主, English Elzebub / Dragon Mom) plans to conquer the earth. To prove her power, she destroys some major Chinese cities. Finally, in her hiding place in a cave in the depths of the earth, she awakens an army of skeletal spirits and wild mutants to devastate the entire surface of the earth.
Professor Liu Ying De is meanwhile working on the BDX project . In a secret laboratory he transforms the highly decorated officer Ray into a bionic Kung Fu superhero: called Super Inframan . He has superhuman strength, specially armored armor and suitable weapons, which he immediately uses against the monster army. Demona steals Super Inframan's blueprints to find out his weakness. Little does she suspect that the professor has meanwhile developed a new super weapon that covers up this weakness. She devises a new plan in which she kidnaps the professor's daughter in order to blackmail the construction of her own Infra-Man for herself. But he refuses and is frozen by Demona with his daughter. Meanwhile, Super Inframan and allies attempt a rescue.
