The Inventux Solar Technologies GmbH was a solar company in the Berlin district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf . Inventux was a leading technology manufacturer for thin-film technology and the first solar company in Europe to mass - produce micromorphous thin-film modules .

The company, which, according to its own information, last employed 100 people, not only offered thin-film solar modules, but also assembly systems, inverters and cabling for photovoltaic systems .

history

Inventux was founded as Inventux Technologies AG in 2007 in Steinhagen near Bielefeld before it set up its production facility in Berlin. At the end of 2007, the company took over a production hall in Berlin-Marzahn , which was previously used by Bombardier , and converted it into a modern production facility. The company headquarters was relocated to Berlin in May 2008. In October 2008 the first production line for micropmorphic tandem solar modules went into operation in Berlin. The official opening took place on December 4th, 2008. It was the first company to settle in the Clean Tech Business Park industrial area in Berlin-Marzahn.

After specializing in the production of thin-film modules at the beginning, the company expanded the range of products to include complete systems in 2010.

For the thin-film solar modules of the X-Series MICROMORPH, Inventux won the red dot design award in the product design category in 2010 and the IF product design award in 2011 . In 2011, Inventux was also named a finalist of the German Founders Award .
In November 2011, the fiXflat flat roof mounting system was awarded the product of the year 2012 by the pro-K industry association.

On May 18, 2012, preliminary insolvency proceedings were initiated by Inventux Technologies AG at the Charlottenburg District Court. With the help of new investors from South America, the company was continued as Inventux Solar Technologies GmbH from August 2012 and continued to produce at the Berlin-Marzahn location.

On May 1, 2014, insolvency proceedings were opened at the Charlottenburg district court via Inventux Solar Technologies GmbH . The company was then dissolved on May 12, 2014.

Products

Inventux exclusively produced micromorphous thin-film solar modules based on silicon . These were so-called tandem modules which consist of a combination of an amorphous (a-Si) and a microcrystalline (µc-Si) silicon layer.

Manufacturing

In several process steps, Inventux deposited a TCO layer as a front contact using LPCVD , the two active absorber layers (solar cells) using PECVD and a further TCO layer as a rear contact on glass superstrate .
The monolithic interconnection of the individual solar cells was achieved by interrupting the individual layers using laser ablation .
