Irenaeus Hayasaka

Irenaeus Hayasaka Kyūbei ( Korean : 하야사카 이레 네오; * December 16, 1888 in Sendai , Japan , † January 6, 1946 in Daegu , Korea ) was a Japanese Roman Catholic priest and Vicar Apostolic in Korea.

Pope Pius XII appointed Hayasaka Apostolic Administrator of the Taiku Apostolic Vicariate and Titular Bishop of Sufes . On December 25, 1942 , Jean-Germain Mousset , the former Vicar Apostolic of Taiku , ordained him bishop with the assistance of Paul Marie Kinam Ro , Vicar Apostolic of Seoul and Paul Aijirô Yamaguchi , Bishop of Nagasaki . He himself only assisted in the episcopal ordination of Francis Hong Yong-ho .

He was the brother of Januarius Kyūnosuke Hayasaka .
