Ireneusz Józef Pękalski (born March 9, 1950 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki , Łódź Voivodeship , Poland ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Łódź .

Life

Ireneusz Pękalski received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Łódź on June 2, 1974 through Bishop Józef Rozwadowski . He then completed an advanced stage in canon law at the Catholic Theological Academy in Warsaw . In 1981 he was at the Pontifical Gregorian University with a thesis on the development of the skills of the congregations in the Roman Curia for Dr. iur. can. PhD .

On 11 December 1999 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Castellum Tingitii and auxiliary bishop in Łódź. The Archbishop of Łódź, Władysław Ziółek , donated him episcopal ordination on January 8, 2000 ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Uruguay , Archbishop Janusz Bolonek , and the Auxiliary Bishop in Łódź, Adam Lepa .
