The 2012/13 AL-Bank Ligaen season was the 56th season since the founding of AL-Bank Ligaen , the highest league in Danish ice hockey . SønderjyskE Ishockey became Danish champions for the seventh time .

In the main round, the nine teams play 40 games each. Each team receives three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time. The eight best-placed teams qualify for the playoffs. In the first two playoff rounds, the teams may choose their playoff opponent in the order of their final placements, whereby the first placed may choose his opponent first.
