Irina Nikolaevna Benua
Irina Nikolaevna Benua , born Irina Nikolaevna Ossipowa , ( Russian Ирина Николаевна Бенуа ; May 3 . Jul / 16th May 1912 greg. In St. Petersburg , † 2004 ) was a Soviet - Russian architect and restorer .
Life
Irina Nikolajewna's parents were the professor of the Imperial Academy of Arts Nikolai Mikhailovich Ossipow (1881-1941) and his wife Soja Leonidowna nee Van der Flaas, who had studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory . Irina Nikolaevna graduated from the resulting from the Imperial Academy of Arts Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (LISchSA) in the architecture - Faculty with completion in 1937 as an architect-artist. In the same year she married the Leningrad architect Michail Konstantinowitsch Benua (1912–1955, great-nephew of Leonti Nikolajewitsch Benois and Alexander Nikolajewitsch Benois ). They had a daughter.
Irina Benua now worked as an architect and project planner in Fomin's and Lewinson's Leningrad workshop. She also taught drawing at the Leningrad Construction Technology Center. In the German-Soviet war after the first Leningrad blockade winter, she and her daughter were evacuated to Barnaul .
In autumn 1945 Benua returned and worked in the Leningrad architecture and restoration workshops . 1946-1953 she put in Leningrad from 1765-1775, the Yury Felten and Ivan Betskoy built neoclassical Alexander School restores the southwest part of 1941 by German bombs had been destroyed. 1952-1956 she restored the badly damaged Kikin Palace . Your projects for the restoration of the Peter and Paul Cathedral and the Panteleimon Church built by Iwan Kusmitsch Korobow were not realized.
When the Leningrad bridge-building organization Lenmostotrest took the initiative to restore the Staro-Kalinkin Bridge over the Fontanka in 1965 , Benua carried out the project. She led the restoration of the Kamennoostrowski Theater (1967) and of Adam Menelaws for I. Nicholas built Cottage Palace in Peterhof .
