Isaac Macharia Wanjohi (born November 25, 1978 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

Life

In 2003 he finished fourth in the Berlin Half Marathon . The following year he made his debut in the 42.195 km distance and finished fourth in the Madrid Marathon . In the summer he celebrated his first major success by winning the Bogotá Half Marathon , in which he triumphed three times in a row from 2007 to 2009 and was third in 2005 and 2006. At the Berlin Marathon he was ninth in 2:11:26 h.

In 2005 he won the Nagano Marathon , a year later he was third in the same place and second in the Route du Vin . In 2007 he finished fourth in the Rotterdam Marathon and second in the Delhi Half Marathon .

In 2008 he finished second behind Haile Gebrselassie in the Dubai Marathon with his personal best of 2:07:16. In the same year he set a course record at the Vidovdan run .

In 2009 he won the Nagano Marathon again and was seventh in the Chicago Marathon .

Isaac Macharia Wanjohi is 1.60 m tall and weighs 49 kg. He is single and is trained by John Mwithiga.
