Isak Doera

Isak Doera (born September 29, 1931 in Jopu , † May 19, 2012 in Jakarta ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Sintang .

Life

Isak Doera was ordained a priest on January 18, 1959 . He studied at the Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Katolik (STFK), a philosophy college in Ritapiret in Flores, Indonesia. He was the first graduate of the latter to hold a bishopric.

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Sintang on December 9, 1976. The Archbishop of Semarang and military vicar of Indonesia , Justinus Cardinal Darmojuwono , donated him episcopal ordination on May 19 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Hieronymus Herculanus Bumbun OFMCap , Archbishop of Pontianak , and Vitalis Djebarus SVD , Bishop of Ruteng .

On January 1, 1996, John Paul II accepted his resignation.
