Isopentyl isobutyric acid ester has been found in bananas , Feyoa fruits (Feijoa sellowiana), grapes , melons , papaya , corn oil , beer , hop oil , whiskey , white wine , honey , jackfruit , cherimoya and Roman chamomile oil . The compound is considered one of the hop flavor components in beer.

Extraction and presentation

Isobuttersäureisopentylester can be prepared by reaction of vapors of isobutyl alcohol and isoamyl alcohol over a silver-activated copper - manganese (II) oxide - catalyst are recovered.
