Ivar Kristian Lasson

Ivar Kristian Lasson or Iver Christian Lasson (born June 20, 1754 in Uggerslevgaard, † January 16, 1823 in Horsens ) was a Danish major general .

Life

origin

Lasson belonged to a Danish family. His parents were Jens Lasson (1713–1759) and Ursula Dorothea von Seue (1730–1789).

career

After eight years of service as an officer became Lasson in 1772 to second lieutenant , in 1776 to first lieutenant and in 1782 to captain . After holding positions in various cavalry regiments, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 1806 and, after becoming a colonel in 1808 , took over as chief of the Baudissin cavalry regiment on November 5, 1809 . In 1812 he was promoted to major general and in 1813 was also knight of the Dannebrog Order . He was involved in the battles of the Wars of Liberation. From 1819 he was commanding general ad interim in Nørrejylland .

family

Lasson married Anne Sophie von Løvenørn (1759-1801), a daughter of the Danish conference councilor Friedrich von Løvenørn and Friederike Sophie von Holsten . As a result, Johann Friedrich von Bardenfleth , who was successively married to two of his bride's sisters and before him was chief of the Baudissin cavalry regiment, became his brother-in-law. In his second marriage he married Anna Seehusen (1788-1857) in 1808, with whom he had a son, the Danish colonel and commander of the life guards Georg Henrik von Lasson (1814-1864).
