Ivor Guest, 4th Viscount Wimborne

Ivor Mervyn Vigors Guest, 4th Viscount Wimborne (born September 19, 1968 ) is a British peer , music producer and composer .

life and career

Guest was born on September 19, 1968 to Ivor Fox-Strangways Guest, 3rd Viscount Wimborne . He attended Eton College .

Guest is best known for his work with Grace Jones ( "Hurricane" / "Hurricane Dub" 2011) and Brigitte Fontaine ( "Prohibition 2009" / "L'un ne l'empeche pas a l'autre 2011" ) as well as the solo album by Skye Edwards - singer of the trip-hop group Morcheeba - known as "Keeping Secrets" .

During his career he worked with Sly and Robbie , Tony Allen , Brigitte Fontaine, Areski Belkacem , Brian Eno , Barry Reynolds , Atticus Ross , Tim Simenon , Robert Logan and Wally Badarou . He also worked on tracks with French artists such as Jacques Higelin , M, Christophe , Bertrand Cantat , Arno, Alain Souchon , Philippe Katerine and Emanuelle Seigner with Brigitte Fontaine.

His work in film includes the cult British film The Football Factory and Alex Gibney's Oscar-winning Taxi to the Dark Side . He lives and works in the UK.

Guest is a member of the Hereditary Peerage Association .

Membership in the House of Lords

After the death of his father in December 1993 he inherited the title of Viscount Wimborne and the then associated seat in the House of Lords . There he sat as a crossbencher .

He lost his seat through the House of Lords Act 1999 . He had not run for election for any of the remaining seats. He is not listed in the Register of Hereditary Peers , which are available for by-election.
