Alain Souchon (1978)

Alain Souchon (born May 27, 1944 in Casablanca , Morocco ; actually Alain Kienast ) is a French songwriter , singer and actor .

Career

Influenced by Georges Brassens and Jacques Brel , but also by the British beat , Souchon has been on stage since the late 1960s. He initially earned his living in small Parisian clubs and cabarets. In 1971 he received his first recording contract with the Pathé-Marconi label . From 1974 he worked with Laurent Voulzy and oriented himself more towards Anglo-Saxon music. This collaboration brought him the breakthrough with the album J'ai 10 ans . In 1975 he appeared for the first time in the opening act for Jean-Jacques Debout at the Paris Olympia . He is one of the most popular musicians in France.

He has also acted in a total of seven films. He played his best-known role under the direction of Jean Becker at the side of Isabelle Adjani as the mechanic “Pin Pon” in A Murderous Summer .
