Józef Pazdur (born November 22, 1924 in Wola Skrzydlańska , Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland ; † May 7, 2015 ) was auxiliary bishop in Wroclaw .

Life

Józef Pazdur studied theology and philosophy at the Great Seminary in Breslau from 1947 to 1951. The Archbishop of Gniezno and Warsaw , Stefan Wyszyński , ordained him on December 23, 1951 . He was pastor of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Chojnovo. From 1959 to 1965 he completed postgraduate studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome , which he completed with a theological licentiate in dogmatics . Then he was a lecturer at the seminary in Wroclaw . From 1965 to 1971 and 1974 to 1985 he was spiritual at the Breslau seminary.

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Ulcinium and auxiliary bishop in Breslau on December 18, 1984 . The Archbishop of Wroclaw, Henryk Roman Gulbinowicz , donated him episcopal ordination on January 12, 1985 ; Co- consecrators were Jerzy Karol Ablewicz , Bishop of Tarnów , and Ignacy Ludwik Jeż , Bishop of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg .

On November 16, 2000, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
