Jörg-Hannes Hahn

Jörg-Hannes Hahn (born January 19, 1963 in Frankenthal (Pfalz) ) is a German organist , church musician and conductor .

He studied church music, organ, piano and conducting, a. a. with Werner Jacob , Ludger Lohmann and Marie-Claire Alain (Paris). In 1991 he was appointed cantor and organist at the Luther Church Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt , and since 1996 also at the city church Stuttgart - Bad Cannstatt and as district cantor. As artistic director of the MUSIK AM 13 . He leads the Bach Choir and Bach Orchestra Stuttgart as well as the Cantus Stuttgart Chamber Choir , with which he has also performed numerous works of new music . Since 1996 he has been teaching artistic organ playing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart . In 1997 he gave concerts with the entire organ works of Max Reger , and in the 2000 year of Bach's commemoration he performed his musical sacrifice, the St. Matthew Passion , the B minor Mass , Christmas Oratorio I-VI and the entire organ works by JS Bach .

Commitments as a conductor, soloist, guest lecturer, competition judge and conductor have taken him to most European countries, to Israel, South America and to Japan, Korea and Singapore. He has given courses at many music academies at home and abroad, such as the Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi” di Milano, the Moscow Conservatory and the Ewha Women's University in Seoul. Radio and CD productions document his artistic activity, including organ works by Erhard Karkoschka , recordings with the Bach Choir and Cantus Stuttgart (Mass op. 4 and " Oratorio de Noel " by Camille Saint-Saëns ) and the first recording of organ works by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach on the Marx Migendt organ in Berlin-Karlshorst, works for trumpet and organ as well as works by C. Farina. In 2005 Jörg-Hannes Hahn was awarded the title “ Church Music Director”, in 2007 he was appointed professor at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart and in 2008 he was appointed church district cantor for Stuttgart . He is married and has a daughter and a son.
