Jörg van Ommen (born September 27, 1962 in Moers ) is a German automobile racing driver .

From 1984 to 1996 van Ommen was active in the German Touring Car Championship and was able to record a total of five victories, his first only came in 1992, although he was on pole at the very first DTM race. With 992.5 points, he ranks sixth in the DTM's all-time points table. In 1994 and 1995 he was runner-up behind DTM record champion Bernd Schneider . Van Ommen has had its own racing team since 2005, which is represented in the Seat Leon Supercopa and Porsche 997 Cup , among others .

His maternal uncle Armin Hahne had also been active in the DTM and had also won several races
