Júnior Enrique Díaz Campbell (born September 12, 1983 in San José ) is a Costa Rican football player .

Career

societies

Díaz began his professional career at the Costa Rican club CS Herediano , for which he played a total of four years. At the end of January 2008, he moved to the Polish first division club Wisła Krakau , before moving to the Belgian first division club FC Bruges in 2010 . In 2011 he returned to Poland on loan to Wisła Krakow.

During the summer break of 2012 , Díaz moved to Germany for 1. FSV Mainz 05 . He made his debut on September 22, 2012 (4th match day) in a 2-0 home win against FC Augsburg . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on September 30, 2012 (6th matchday) by scoring 1-0 in a 2-0 win in the away game against VfL Wolfsburg .

After his contract in Mainz, which expired in June 2015, had not been renewed, Díaz switched to Bundesliga promoted SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2017. In August 2016 he moved to the second division club Würzburger Kickers .

In September 2017 he joined his youth club CS Herediano . He played there for two years and after winning the Apertura 2019 he moved on to LD Alajuelense .

National team
