A Jewish community in Charmes in the Vosges department in the French region of Grand Est existed since the early 19th century.

history

The Jewish community in Charmes had a synagogue , which was built in 1864, a Jewish elementary school and a ritual bath ( mikveh ). The synagogue was destroyed on September 5, 1944. The fragment of the tablets of the law is now in the Bruyères synagogue , which is used as a museum.
