Jewish cemetery (Balduinstein)
The Balduinstein Jewish cemetery is a cemetery in the Hausen district of Balduinstein in the Balduinstein community in the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The Jewish cemetery is located about one kilometer north of the Hausen district on the steep slope above the Lahn . The cemetery is marked by a mighty oak tree that can be seen from afar.
On the 618 m² fenced cemetery, which was first mentioned in 1721, graves are occupied to this day. The last grave was occupied in 2017, where Wolfgang Lauinger, holder of the Federal Cross of Merit, rests. At the entrance there is a memorial stone that was erected in 1983.
