Jewish cemetery (Wölfersheim)
The Wölfersheim Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Wölfersheim , a municipality in the Wetterau district in Hesse . The cemetery is a protected cultural monument and is located northeast of the village on the road to Hungen .
history
The cemetery of the Jewish community of Wölfersheim was also used as a burial place for Jews from neighboring places such as Melbach and Obbornhofen . The last funeral took place in 1922 (Jettchen Rossmann, * 1857).
In Wölfersheim there are two cemetery plots with an area of 15.61 and 2.04 acres . The oldest tombstone ( Mazewot ) is from 1729, there are still 36 tombstones in total.
