Jürgen Doetz

Jürgen Doetz (born October 9, 1944 in Heidelberg ) is a German journalist and media manager .

Life

Doetz graduated from 1966 to 1971, a study of political science , history and sociology at the University of Heidelberg . From 1970 he worked as an editor in the politics department at the Pfälzer Tageblatt .

Doetz is a member of the CDU . From 1971 to 1976 he was press spokesman for the Rhineland-Palatinate Minister of Education, Bernhard Vogel, and until 1982 deputy spokesman for the Rhineland-Palatinate state government of Prime Minister Vogel. From 1977 he also worked as a ministerial advisor .

From 1982 to 1992 Doetz was managing director of the program company for cable and satellite broadcasting ( PKS ). From 1985 to 2004 he was managing director of the private broadcaster Sat.1 and from 1985 to 1990 chairman of the Federal Association of Cable and Satellite eV Then, until 1996, he was vice-president of the Association of Private Broadcasting and Telecommunication eV ( VPRT ).
