Jürgen Kerber

Jürgen Kerber (born September 27, 1960 in Schweinfurt ) is a German music publisher and producer. He is responsible for well over 300 CD productions and over 1,000 events.

Life

Jürgen Kerber published his first record in 1980 under the project name JESSY AND RUFUS. His first single "Little Klaus" was also rated by Bravo magazine . In 1988 Jürgen Kerber founded JK Musikverlag , which was renamed JAY KAY Music in 2000 . The publishing house and its record labels were headed by Sandra Scherer during his time as a radio manager.

His professional path led him as a radio presenter to Radio RVN (1986–1990) in Creuzwald (France), then to Radio TON (1990 to 1991) in the Main-Tauber district and then to Antenne Stuttgart (1991–1992). In 1993 Jürgen Kerber moved to Radio Brocken in Saxony-Anhalt. During this time, he worked in all areas of broadcasting, from editor, presenter, program manager to event manager as a member of the management of Radio Brocken in Halle / Saale. From 1995 Jürgen Kerber headed the event department of Radio Brocken for the Hit-Radio Antenne group, from 1996 also the event department of Antenne Sachsen (Dresden) and from 1998 to 2000 also temporarily the event department for Hit-Radio Antenne in Lower Saxony / Hanover.

In 1998 Jürgen Kerber conceived the concert “Rock for Germany”, at which the newly elected Chancellor Gerhard Schröder danced on stage with his wife Doris to the Scorpions hit “Wind of Chance”. Kerber also designed shows such as " Schlagergala " (1995 to 2000) and the open air concert on 10 years of German unity in the soccer stadium in Dresden with Peter Maffay, Karat, Udo Lindenberg and many more, as well as the radio presentation and show conception by Hit-Radio Antenne for CEBIT and to the ATP. In 2003 Jürgen Kerber left the Hit-Radio Antenne group after 10 years of management. He produced the comeback hit "Lady Fantasy" by Francesco Napoli, with which he a. a. took first place in Spain and top positions in 17 other Spanish-speaking countries. The band Ohio Express also took on Kerber and produced several single CDs and an LP with original member Douglas Grassel and lead singer Garry Rochel (from 1990).

Jürgen Kerber has been in charge of JAY KAY Event & Music himself since 2003 . His music production and event company initially took care of the artistic work of former East German pop and pop stars such as PERL , Michael Barakowski , Regina Thoss , Hans-Jürgen Beyer , Ina Maria Federowski , Jörg Hindemith u. a. For the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall (2009), JAY KAY Music presented the LP sampler “Neue Ostschlager”. He is also responsible for the comeback of Ryan Paris and the conception of the music casting show “XXXL SongStar” as well as the talk and music show about the hitKaffeeklatsch ”.

In 2010 Jürgen Kerber managed to convince the well-known cult presenter, Manfred Sexauer , for a second song or CD release. Manfred Sexauer interprets another song after 30 years. "Nights In White Satin" Manfred Sexauer feat. decanto was released on the JAY KAY label Xenia Records.
