Jürgen Müller (historian)

Jürgen Müller (born June 3, 1959 in Zettingen ) is a German historian .

Life

From 1980 to 1989, Müller studied history and English at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at Trinity College Dublin . In 1989 he received his doctorate in modern history at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken. Since 1989 he has been a scientific employee of the historical commission at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and since 1994 editorial assistant of the historical journal . In 2003 he completed his habilitation in modern history at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and was appointed private lecturer in 2004. Since 2009 he has been editor of the review section of the historical magazine . Since 2009 he has been teaching as an adjunct professor at the history seminar of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2018 he was awarded the Medal of Honor for Home Care and Historical Research of the Main-Kinzig District .
