The passenger motor ship Jürgensby is an excursion and butter ship operated by the Ketelsen shipping company in Flensburg. The ship is named after the district of Jürgensby and was used for trips on the Flensburg Fjord .

history

The ship was put into service in 1966 for Flensburg Passenger Shipping and was taken over by the Förde shipping company in 1971 . In 1996 the Flensburg-Ekensunder Dampfschiffs-Gesellschaft acquired it and in 1998 passed it on to the shipping company B / S Schiffahrtsgesellschaft in Eckernförde , which operated it under the name Seebad Borby until 2010 and then passed it on to the current owner.

At the Ketelsen shipping company, the ship was given the previous name Jürgensby , was used from the Flensburg harbor until 2011 and hung up after an engine failure . The ship has been in service again since July 2014.

The ship has been chartered for other shipping companies over the years . In 1971 it operated for the shipping company Union Eils & Co. ( shipping company Cassen Eils ) and in 1974 for the Centrumlinjen of Rederi AB Sundfart from Malmö, in which HADAG held a 50 percent stake. From April 1982 to November 1983 the Harle shipping company Warrings from Carolinensiel chartered the ship and in 1984 it was chartered for sea tourism from Flensburg. In 1991 a charter for the Flensburg Viking shipping company followed.
