JJ Murphy

JJ Murphy (born September 27, 1947 in Bayonne , New Jersey ) is an American film director . He makes independent films .

life and work

Murphy graduated from the University of Scranton and received his Masters from the University of Iowa in 1972 . He is a professor at the University of Wisconsin – Madison .

JJ Murphy has published in numerous magazines and is the author of two books: Me and You and Memento and Fargo: How Independent Screenplays Work and The Black Hole of the Camera: The Films of Andy Warhol .
