Jackson Douglas

Jackson Douglas (* 1969 in Kent , Washington as Douglas Jackson ) is an American actor , director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

Jackson Douglas graduated from Kentridge High School in Kent, Washington. In 1988 he finally studied at Washington State University .

In 1999 Douglas married his longtime girlfriend, actress Alex Borstein , after proposing to her during a skit on her show MADtv . The two met when they played together for the ACME Comedy Theater in Los Angeles.

Originally, his wife was slated for the part of Sookie St.James , who would later become the wife of his character Jackson Belleville / Melville , in Gilmore Girls . However, she had to get out due to contractual difficulties. Douglas starred in the series from 2000 to 2007, and was also featured in the sequel, Gilmore Girls: A New Year (2016).

Douglas works as a director for film and television.
