Jacopo Facchin (born April 16, 1995 in Belluno ) is an Italian grass skier . He belongs to the squad of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and has competed in the World Cup since 2010 .

Career

Jacopo Facchin drove his first FIS races in June 2010 and initially came under the top 20 twice. Since July he has also started in the World Cup . He took part in nine of the eleven World Cup races in the 2010 season and was only unable to start in Dizin . The 2010 Junior World Championships took place in the Iranian ski resort , in which he also did not participate. His currently best World Cup placement he achieved at the season finale with 13th place in the slalom of Sestriere ; in his second World Cup race, the Slalom of Čenkovice , he had reached 16th place in July. He finished the other races between rank 20 and 30, only in one slalom he could not qualify for the second round. In the overall World Cup, the Italian came in 39th, tied with the Japanese Rishu Okada .

In the 2011 World Cup season , Facchin was three times among the fastest 20. In the overall World Cup, he was able to improve by five places to 34th place. In August / September he took part for the first time in a world championship and the junior world championship held at the same time in Goldingen, Switzerland, but only achieved placements in the bottom field in both events. His best results in the juniors were two ninth places in slalom and combined, while in the general class his best result was 16th place in slalom. Facchin achieved three top 20 placings in world cup races in the 2012 season and finished the overall world cup in 33rd position. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Burbach he achieved placements in midfield. His best result was tenth place in the slalom.
