Jaeden Martell (born January 4, 2003 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

Martell was born in Philadelphia to Angela Martell and television chef Wes Lieberher . He first grew up in South Philadelphia. When he was 8 years old, he moved to Los Angeles with his family . After appearing in several commercials and a short film he was awarded the role of the 2013 Oliver Bronstein in the comedy St. Vincent alongside Bill Murray , Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts . The role earned him critical acclaim and a nomination for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2015 in the category Best Young Actor one. In 2015 he was in the movie Aloha - The Chance for Happiness and the TV series Masters of Sex . In 2016 followed a role in Jeff Nichols ' science fiction film Midnight Special .

In 2017, Martell starred in the Colin Trevorrow film The Book of Henry - again alongside Naomi Watts - and in the Stephen King film adaptation of It, both of which played the children's leading role.

At the end of 2018 he took his mother's name, until then his name was Jaeden Lieberher .
