Jakob Adlhart (architect)

Jakob Adlhart (born April 21, 1936 in Hallein ) is an Austrian architect .

Life

Adlhart was born as the son of the sculptor Jakob Adlhart the Elder. J. born in Hallein. He initially trained as a gilder and barrel painter and thus became a journeyman and master. He attended the higher technical college in Salzburg , where he graduated in 1959 . Adlhart studied architecture from 1959 to 1964 at the Technical University of Munich under Johannes Ludwig and then became his employee. In 1964 he opened his architecture office in Hallein in his father's sculpture workshop.

Adlhart is a member of the building commission of the Archdiocese of Salzburg . From 1989 to 1999 he was a jury member of the Salzburg Old Town Preservation Commission. Since 2002 he has been chairman of the Hallein Site Protection Commission.
